US Grade Kindergarten - 2
In this fun class you will create a turkey out of construction paper and write a detailed story about the turkey that you create. We will share ideas with each other about our turkeys to help generate ideas for our stories. You will leave this class with a turkey that you've created yourself, along with a fun, detailed story about your turkey :). 5 minutes- This will be spent discussing what learners already know about turkeys and sharing ideas for how to create a turkey. 15-20 minutes- This time will be allotted for learners to create their construction paper turkeys. *You may draw your turkey instead of creating it out of construction paper if you choose to do so. 5 minutes- We will share our turkeys with each other and share ideas about our turkeys. 15-20 minutes- I will lead learners in writing a detailed story about their turkey. 5 minutes- We will share our fun, detailed turkey stories with each other :).
Learning Goals
The goal for this class is to stimulate imagination, to encourage creativity and to find the joy in writing a creative story.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Learners will be using scissors and glue in this class so parental guidance may be needed with younger learners.
Supply List
Construction paper (a variety of colors), scissors, glue, pencil, crayons and/or markers and wiggly eyes (optional). A writing template will be shared before class begins that learners may print out and use for writing their story.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
