First Steps in Programming With a Botley Robot. 1 on 1 Camp

Coding and programming help us communicate with technology, and in this multi-day course, your child will take their first steps into the world of robotics with Botley!
Children will pick a fun theme—Mario, Pokémon, rubber ducks, animals, or cars—and use hands-on coding to program Botley through interactive challenges. This STEM class builds important skills like sequencing, problem-solving, and logical thinking in a fun and supportive environment.
Each day, we’ll build coding confidence by learning how to think ahead and give clear instructions—just like a programmer! Your child will think like a robot, plan directions, and program Botley step by step to reach their goal. They’ll learn why order matters and how precise instructions help technology work.
We’ll use the same robot each day so children can strengthen their skills through consistency—but no robot is needed to join in the fun! A provided worksheet allows them to map out movements, helping both their own learning and understanding of others' coding strategies. Laminating the sheet or printing multiple copies is recommended.
In each session, we’ll review past concepts, introduce new commands like Right, Left, Forward, Backward, and Transmit, and encourage children to plan and execute a full sequence in a single transmission—just like real programmers! They’ll gain confidence in coding by thinking ahead and being exact in their instructions.
This class is interactive, and children will be encouraged to participate as they feel comfortable. No robot is needed—just curiosity and enthusiasm for coding!
