Students will learn the basics of photography composition including: 1. lighting 2. the rule of thirds 3. leading lines 4. horizon lines 5. single focus points 6. framing the subject 7. editing photos By seeing examples of good and bad compositions, I will show students how to see through the photographer's eye. Photography has been my hobby for the past ten years. I have had a travel blog, and I am the sponsor of my middle school's photography club.
2 files available upon enrollmentStudents will need a separate cell phone or tablet with a camera. This should be a different device than what they use to take this class in Outschool. Basic large and small household items to photograph during class time.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be given time to share their photos with the class.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
