Benefits of a Fitness and Yoga Program: 1. Helps children manage anxiety and stress 2. Standing poses improve posture and strength 3. Balancing poses improve focus, concentration, strength, coordination and poise. 4. Back bends stimulate the sympathetic nervous system and are invigorating 5. Forward bends stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system and help massage the digestive system. 6. Guided relaxation allows the body to sit still and quiet, giving children the option to create a special place in their minds. 7. Breathing Practices are a great way to reduce stress and help with focus and concentration. 8. Meditation enhances calmness and clarity of mind. 8. Active classes allow kids to expend their energy in a healthy way. 9. The sense of play allows kids to let loose, be silly and have fun. 10. Hello, I am Diana Vivas, I am a Kidding Around Yoga certified Instructor, founder of Imagine, Move & Create, the place that helps kids have fun while connecting with their mind and body and I am also a Zumbini Certified Instructor. I have been helping families for more than 15 years organizing routines that included creative movement, math, reading and listening comprehension, when I looked for a Mindful program to incorporate in my activities I noticed there weren’t many for younger children so I decided to get certified in Yoga for children and teach it myself. I work with children using hands on exploration through social interaction, encouraged by music and using nature to help children learn about their environment.
Even though my mayor is in International Business, my passion is working with children and learning along the way with them.
