Class Experience

Throughout this 8-week course, students will learn and then utilize effective argumentation through active debates. Most importantly, the course is designed for learners to have fun while engaging with complex debate topics!

While the course is formatted for learners between the ages of 10-13, most debate topics will be high school & college level (e.g. universal healthcare, nuclear proliferation). Concepts will be heavily scaffolded and new challenges will be introduced after each debate...

I'm a strong believer in the educational value and sheer fun of learning debate for primary school students. Most recently, I spent last summer as an administrator and head coach at the Mi Edu Debate Camp in Shanghai, China, where I helped design and deliver a Public Forum Debate curriculum to students between the ages of 9-15.

2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
