In this one day course, children will learn how to express feelings, learn calendar/weather expressions in Spanish. Students will learn numbers 1-15 and play a I Spy number game. They will also open a magic door and receive a special gift.

***Please note that there is no need to have any prior knowledge of Spanish to take this class*** I use Google Slides to teach this unit. I teach with a focus on Comprehensible Input and not grammar since that is not how language is naturally acquired. Spanish Encanto class is designed for beginner level with no previous knowledge or exposure to Spanish. Students will learn Spanish while discussing the Disney film Encanto. Students will acquire the Spanish language naturally while having fun through class discussions and playing traditional games to reinforce vocabulary.
I have been a certified Spanish teacher for the past 24 years. I have a masters in education. I lived and studied in Spain for several years so I have a true Spanish accent (castellano). I have attended CI (comprehensible Input) conferences and implement the CI teaching strategy into my lessons.
