During this 30 minute gymnastics clinic, we will focus on stretches targeted toward gymnastics skills and work on becoming more flexible to help make those skills become easier. Knowing the proper gymnastics stretches and being flexible decreases the chance of injury and creates an overall well rounded gymnast! Learners will be exposed to different gymnastics vocabulary and be given tips about how to become more flexible while stretching! The stretches we will perform are stretches used by competitive gymnasts and stretches I used when I competed in the Junior Olympics! *yoga mat or towel optional, water bottle required *
Learning Goals
Students will learn vocabulary associated with gymnastics form, stretching and flexibility. They will practice different stretching exercises and be given drills to do to increase flexibility.Other Details
Parental Guidance
*Please be advised that students will be involved in a physical fitness routine. They should have adequate space , supervision and a water bottle to prevent any possible injuries*

I am a retired level 8 competitive gymnast. I competed in the junior olympics for 11 years. After retiring, I coached class gymnastics for around 3 years. I am also a certified classroom teacher with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida. I have taught 2nd grade for 2 years and I completed my internship in 5th grade and Kindergarten classrooms. I am reading endorsed and ESOL endorsed.Reviews
