Class experience
During this 45 minute gymnastics clinic, I will focus on teaching your gymnast different drills in order to do a successful handstand with good form. We will start by stretching (of course) and then move into the different steps and drills to practice and master a handstand. We will end our lesson with some conditioning exercises targeted toward the muscles used for a handstand. As any gymnast will tell you, conditioning is the key to any skill! I am a retired level 8 competitive gymnast. I competed in the Junior Olympics for 11 years. After retiring, I coached class gymnastics for around 3 years. I am also a certified classroom teacher with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida. I have taught 2nd grade for 2 years and I completed my internship in 5th grade and Kindergarten classrooms. I am reading endorsed and ESOL endorsed.
