Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will learn to read basic notation, keep time in rhythm, and play basic notes and simple chords using open strings and a single freted note. They will learn to write their own words into small songs and sing along while they play the guitar.
I have over 25 years of experience as a professional musician, an award-winning solo career, and 15+ years of conducting workshops for children around the world and tutoring privately.
Children will be asked to practice fretting notes, reading music, playing music in the correct rhythm and imagining good songs to write.
Please bring a guitar that is in tune (or we will tune it together), a pencil, eraser, ruler and paper.
Each child develops at different speeds, children are assessed if they understand the material, participate in class, and make some effort with their homework. Expectations are not stressful, and though striving for excellence is a goal, it is done in a fun, happy manner.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
