⚠️ Needed to participate: Stable Internet Connection, a mobile device/tablet or gaming console, and the free game Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. In this club, learners will get together to discuss and play Yu-Gi-Oh! through the official electronic simulator, Master Duel. This free official Yu-Gi-Oh simulator can be downloaded on a mobile device or tablet through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store . It can also be downloaded on consoles, such as PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch. It has an official rating of PEGI 7. Once downloaded, learners will be able to create an account and start playing. Learners should have the game downloaded before their first class and familiarize themselves with the platform. The instructor will begin the club session with a Yu-Gi-Oh discussion so learners can share their passion for the game of Yu-Gi-Oh! This will be followed by a mini lesson to go over a Yu-Gi-Oh topic/skill. Then, the instructor will host a Master Duel Room and create Zoom Breakout Rooms to place learners in so they can test their dueling skills against one another. Finally, the instructor will close the Zoom Breakout Rooms to have a wrap up discussion on the session. 0-5 Minutes: Welcome & Introduction Objective: Set the tone for the session, introduce the day’s topic, and check in with students. 5-20 Minutes: Game Mechanics and Strategies Overview Objective: Teach or reinforce core mechanics. 20-55: Duel Time Objective: Give students to play Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel to apply what they learned. 55-60 Minutes: Wrap up & Q&A Objective: Provide a summary and allow students to ask questions.
