Class Experience

This ongoing class is your beginner driver's guide to skills necessary to be a safe driver. Class content will include the skills and topics included in driver’s ed tests. Taught by a certified driver’s education instruction, learners will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in conversations that address real life driving scenarios. 

What prior knowledge is required for this class? 
Students must be at least the age of 13 to take this course. Road awareness will help prepare learners for this class. 

What topics will be addressed in this class? How is the class taught? 
The topics covered in this class will cover topics to help learners prepare for a formal driver’s education course. The class will start with introductions, followed by instruction and discussion. At the end of the class, learners will participate in a Nearpod or Kahoot game. An account is not required to access the Nearpod or Kahoot game. 

Is it too late to join? 
Not at all! This class is structured in an ongoing class format. Each class stands alone, so learners are welcome to join at any time.

Week of June 4th- Driving in Weather
Week of June 11th- Traffic Signals
Week of June 18th- Regulatory Signs
Week of June 25th- Prohibitive Signs
Week of July 2nd- Warning  Signs
Week of July 9th- Directional Signs
Week of July 16th- Permissive, Interstate and Route Signs
Week of July 23rd- Pavement Markings
Week of July 30th-  Vehicle Care (Changing tire & Checking fluids)

Parental Guidance
Parent guidance is required due to the use of Nearpod and Kahoot. An account is not required to access the games.
