Beginner Level
This is a great class for learners who are new to fractions or want to be able to discuss/visualize fractions. Students will use visual aides and digital resources to learn about fractions. Students will discuss and compare the fractions to better understand numerators, denominators, and simplified fractions. During this time we will use the visual to discuss what numerators and denominators are. We will use this knowledge to add and subtract fractions using the same manipulatives from the first day. Students will also discuss Greatest Common Factor, Mixed numbers and Improper Fractions. I will use the screen share function and model how to group the numbers. Students need to know how to count to fifty, have a basic understanding of multiplication, division, and factors. Week of 6/5: Class 1: Fractions Vocabulary Class 2: Comparing, ordering and simplifying fractions, Equivalent Fractions Day one Class 3: Comparing, ordering and simplifying fractions, Equivalent Fractions Day one Week of 6/12: Class 4: GCF: Greatest Common Factor Class 5: GCF: Greatest Common Factor and Adding Fractions Class 6: Mixed Number, Improper fractions Adding mixed numbers Week of 6/19: Class 7: Subtracting Fractions Class 8: Review Day One Class 9: Review Day Two

Students will better understanding of fractions as a visual and how to create written math problems with these visuals.
