This course teaches absolute beginners the fundamentals of drawing, including basic shapes, lines, shading, textures, and perspective. Each lesson focuses on a simple technique while guiding learners through a fun, creative project to apply what they’ve learned. learners will see visual examples from recognized artist ( video & slides ), discuss the techniques and complete a project. What topics will you cover? Basic sketching techniques (lines, shapes, shading) Drawing everyday objects with confidence Understanding light, shadows, and textures Simple perspective and composition Creative expression through guided projects How is your class structured? Each class is 40 minutes and follows a structured yet engaging format: Introduction to technique, look at inspiration from other visual artists. Quick warm-up exercise to practice a technique Step-by-step demonstration of the day’s techniques Guided drawing project based on the lesson Review and feedback to encourage improvement How will you teach? Lessons are taught step by step, making it easy for beginners to follow along. I will use live demonstrations, slides, and example drawings to visually guide students through each project. Supply List
Each week students should have: Pencils HB , Eraser Color pencils, pens, markers, etc Drawing Paper (Printer Paper or Sketchbook Works Fine) HOWEVER: If, for any reason, a student is away from these materials: all are welcome to use whichever preferred art supplies you have! (Example: some students, while traveling, may not have access to paper but are welcome to create a digital creation by drawing with any digital tools you may have!)

I am a dedicated teacher, artist, and illustrator with over 20 years of experience in public, private, online, and homeschooling environments. I specialize in teaching art, English language, and literature to learners of all ages.
