Beginners Cursive Handwriting 2x Per Week

This class is for beginning cursive writers. I have been trained in the award-winning Handwriting Without Tears method of handwriting and approach writing letters with a similar philosophy. 

Each week will focus on a separate set of letters and is independent from previous weeks. The letters are learned out of alphabetical order and instead are taught by ease of letter formation and the letter's frequency of use. The class will begin with the lowercase letters, since they are used most frequently and then move on to the uppercase alphabet. We will practice writing our name in cursive, as well. 

I follow the Demo, Guide, Do approach to teaching cursive and will begin by demonstrating how to write the letter. Then, I will guide the learners through the steps as we write it together. Finally, the learners will write it on their own. I will also model the correct sequence of steps frequently throughout the class.

The sequence in which we learn to write the letters begins with the lowercase, since that case is used much more frequently. Then we move on to the uppercase letters. We will work out of alphabetical order according to this list:
