I may assign some homework in the form of chess puzzles, which we will discuss in class.Class Experience
We will be learning the basics of Chess, such as movement, taking of peices, attacking, and early game strategy. We will go over pins, forks, skewers, and more! We will look at openings, early game, mid game, and end game strategies. We will be utilizing Chess.com to arrange games and teachings. This will be a group lesson, going over any new strategies/questions the learners may have in the first half an hour, and playing open chess club for the 2nd half. I may utilize videos/chess puzzles to keep things fresh. Week 1: How the pieces move/attack and starting a game. Week 2: Openings and early game strategies/Intro to Notation Week 3: Positioning and special moves/Midgame Strategies Week 4: Closing in on a Checkmate/Endgame Strategies No experience required, come start your journey into the awesome Game of Kings!
