This will be a 6 week course will allow the student to fall in love with basketball and have fun learning the basic fundamentals of the game. Students will learn to be active and grow appreciation of the game of basketball Students will learn to develop attitudes that led to success on the basketball court Students will learn dedication and hard work Students will learn that perfect practice makes perfect Students will learn how to make better decisions through discussion time Students will learn how to express their opinions and communicate Students will that playing sports is enjoyable and good for our health Overall students will increase their fundamental skills
2 basketballs (If you only have 1 that is okay) Shoes If you have a basketball net we can also use it to shoot and do layups (NOT MANDATORY) 4 - 10 Cones (If you do not have cones you can bring extra shoes or water bottles to class) Pencil and Paper to track progress throughout the week (not mandatory) Water
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Potential hazards: Include, but not limited to, needing an open workout space and close-toe shoes. No glass or any delicate objects in the area just in case student loses control of the basketball.
