Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
Beginner Level
In this writing class, we will work on practicing letters and sounds through reviewing how to write each letter of the alphabet. We will begin blending sounds together to create short vowel words and sight words. We will use art materials to create flashcards, play learning games and do some movement activities to help the learners stay focused and engaged.

Each week we will review the letters and sounds through a fun guessing game and the students will write down what they hear and see. We will illustrate what we have written to help the learning stick! The students will work towards writing short sentences with these beginner phonics activities.

Week 1: Review letters
Week 2: Short vowel a words
Week 3: Short vowel e words
Week 4: Short vowel i words

More weeks will be added over time.
Learning Goals
The students will learn how to write letters correctly, blend sounds to write words and practice learning and writing sight words.
