Prior to class, learners will choose an animal they would like to learn more about. This will be the basis for their research. Learners will send the teacher a message through the classroom informing me of their choice prior to our first class meeting. Homework Offered
Students will do the research portion during our first class. I will help them incorporate their factual findings into their writing by using graphic organizers to map our thinking. I will also model each step for them. I will provide feedback and ask the students to give comments, suggestions, and praise to each other too.
