Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to grow a plant and what it needs to live (sun light, water and good soil)
I have been gardening for 30 years. I have been teaching my 3 year old to garden since birth.
Learners will water their plants and see if they grow!
1. Plastic bin shoebox size or a little larger. (This bin is for the soil to be placed in so the student can add soil from the bin to their small planter. It also lets them feel the soil during class for discussion on what it feels like)
1 small planter
enough soil to fill the planter please ask for recommendations if you are unsure.
Seeds- Any flower seeds. Marigolds are simple and easy. The best soil is just a simple small bag of miracle grow soil. I have leftover of my garden soil so I will be using that for class.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Students with sensory issues who may not like to get their hands dirty are recommended to have gloves and a hand shovel to attend class. Watering reminders can be set in your phone.
