Class Experience

In this class we will cover correct posture, breath support, warm up, vocal technique, and exercises to develop the beginning singer. As class progresses and exercises are performed, we will begin learning more advanced exercises and discuss the importance of vowel placement, text breathing, phrase emphasis, and the skills required to communicate a song.

This course will follow a “self paced" structure and does not have scheduled online meetings. This flexible schedule allows students to practice at any time, 24/7 for the duration of the course.

Hello and Welcome! My name is Kristen I am a performer, voice over actor, teacher, and videographer. I have the honor of being awarded the Music & Arts: Teacher Of The Year Award.

As a performer, I have traveled the world performing as a lead singer onboard Carnival Cruise Lines. I have worked on seven ships in their fleet and performed several genres of music on stage. I have also worked as an actor in New York City. I have auditioned and traveled around the United States for jobs performing in musicals. My favorite shows are Disney's Mary Poppins (Mary), South Pacific (Nellie), and She Loves Me (Amalia).

As a teacher, I am currently a music teacher at an academy. I have taught and hosted live and virtual classes in music, theatre, auditioning, and public speaking. My goal is to prepare students for their auditions and performances so they are not as nervous and feel confident in themselves.

As a videographer, I run a YouTube channel documenting my travels as a teacher and performer. Working online has taught me about video-story-telling, graphics, editing, and proper lighting.

My upcoming events as an actress:
-Playing Carole King In "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical"
-Cathy in The Last Five Years
-Soloist with the Linked Up Concert Series by Carnegie Hall
-Voice Over Commercials (under contract) for 2024-25 ads
