In this 5-class camp, beginner violinists will learn the basics of violin playing from a professional teacher with 25+ years of experience.
Class experience
In this beginner violin class, students will learn the following:
Day 1 - How to hold the violin & bow
- Rest position & playing position
-Making a good sound right from the start!
- Names of strings: E A D G
Day 2 - Rhythms on the different strings
- Review of how to hold violin & bow
Day 3 - Finger placement - Please purchase violin finger tapes through amazon or similar (link provided in supply list)

...I have taught violin lessons for over 25 years in private and group settings, both in person and online, to students of all ages. I find that combining violin learning with a good sense of humour is vital to success since the violin is not an easy instrument to learn at first!
Learners MUST have an appropriate size violin and bow, as well as rosin for the bow, and finger tapes for the violin. A shoulder rest is strongly recommended. Please message with any questions about supplies.
