This class is a beginner ukulele class for children. This is recommend for children that have taken a ukulele class before. Students will review the parts of the ukulele, string names, some basic chords (C, A minor, F and G), and how to strum and play the instrument. Students will practice switching from one chord to another which will help them develop the skills to play along with several songs in future classes. Children enrolled in this class will learn some of the basic parts of the ukulele, the names of the 4 strings, a basic downward strum, and some basic ukulele chords such as C, Am, F, G7. They will also learn how to strum chords along to simple songs.
Students will not have assigned homework but they will have the option to practice switching from one chord to another while strumming along to the songs we practiced in class.
A tuned ukulele
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
