Description
Class Experience
Steve Housewright has been teaching guitar and ukulele for 25 years. He has taught privately, in music stores, in afterschool programs, in schools, libraries, and online. He has been the director of the music education nonprofits, Strings Attached and the Sir Charles Blues Lab, and supported by many major music education foundations over the past two decades. He is also a Teaching Artist Fellow with the Jubilation Foundation and Tides Foundation.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The class uses the “Ukulele for Kids: Method and Songbook” by Chad Johnson. Continuing students are required to own their own copy of the book (with audio access) for practice at home. (Students must own their own copy for copyright laws) Published by Hal Leonard Publishing. Digital and hard copies are available.
