Students will be able to find, name and play 5 chords and work up to playing a song.  

I grew up playing piano and taught my daughter to play.  I took up playing the Ukelele 5 years ago and I also offer pre-k and elementary aged students lessons in my home each week.  

Homework Offered
Practicing is different for each learner.  The best way to have success with a student's practice time is to provide them a quiet area without distraction of electronics, music, conversation, tv, etc.  I encourage 15 mins minimum each day.  It should be a fun and encouraging time.  Never something forced or negative.   It's fine if they aren't interested in their homework at first.  In time, most learners want to meet daily challenges I give so are excited to give homework a try.  As long as it is spoken of as a positive experience they generally hang on to that excitement.
