In this class, students will learn the basics of playing the trumpet. We will cover the following: instrument assembly and cleaning, how to hold the trumpet, hand position, mouthpiece buzzing, how to change pitch and making your first few notes! This class will be interactive and I will adjust to student needs as we progress through the class. Students do not need any prior experience on the trumpet. This class is for very beginners on the trumpet that would like to have a smooth and fun start!
Learning Goals
Our goal is for the students to be able to properly assemble, hold and make their first sounds on the saxophone. They will be set up for the basics of playing so they can confidently venture into their trumpet journey!

Students will need: Trumpet - please contact me with questions regarding brand, mouthpiece and valve oil.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
