This one time tap class will review tap terminology and beginner level footwork and combinations
Class experience
This tap class is designed for the beginner level dancer who has some previous tap knowledge. Dancers should already be aware of how to flap and shuffle. We will begin class with a foot and ankle warmup, followed by tap footwork and drills, and end with a brief tap combination. In class we will cover some tap terminology as we execute various steps. Dancers should wear tap shoes if they have a tap board or designated tapping area, or shoes with a hard sole to hear sounds from their feet...
Please ensure your dancer has an adequate space available for movement during the class and water availble for quick drink breaks. Dancers should wear tap shoes if they have a tap board or designated tapping area, or shoes with a hard sole to hear sounds from their feet to not scratch floors. Dance apparel is not required but comfortable athletic type clothing is recommended.
