Beginner Spanish with a Story (Pobre Enzo) and Songs

This class has been reformatted and is now an ongoing class where we read stories like this one every 3-4 weeks. I will be adding more sections for the ongoing course , Fun Beginner Spanish with Stories, Songs, and Games, in the Fall. 

During this course we will read a story called Pobre Enzo that goes along with 2 or 3 songs to reinforce the vocabulary in the book. The students will be directed to repeat after me for the current vocabulary and sing along with me as they learn the songs. Since we are learning a language through a story the exact topic will vary and flow like a conversation would flow. 

In Pobre Enzo we will learn body parts (eyes, ears, mouth, arms, feet, etc.) and clothing. During each of the 4 classes we will read Pobre Enzo. Week one will be focused on introducing ourselves in Spanish with name and age along with introducing the story and the songs. Week two we will be focused on body parts and play Simon says or charades. Week three we will be focused on clothing and more vocabulary games. Week four we will review all of the above and play games to finish off the lessons!

Each lesson will start with a good morning song and end with a goodbye song. I will reinforce different parts of the story text at each lesson. Each lesson we will sing the same songs that go along with the story’s vocabulary. Repetition is key so each class will be similar but emphasizing something different from the story and the songs each lesson.
