Description

Class Experience

Class Content:
Day 1: Introductions and feelings:
Content: "What's your name?", "My name is ______.", "How are you?", "I'm happy/fine/sad/sleepy/angry/stressed."
Day 2: Weather:
Content: "What's the weather?", "It's sunny/rainy/cold/hot/snowy/cloudy/windy/the weather's bad/good."
Day 3: Favorite color, etc.
Content: "What's your favorite color?", "My favorite color is _______." and review colors and days 1 and 2
Day 4: Birthday & Age
Content: "How old are you?", "I'm ___ years old.", "When's your birthday?", "My birthday is ___ ______."

In each class, we'll also review/practice colors and numbers while completing our coloring page.

Learners will practice asking and answering questions in Spanish related to the above sentences to get conversational practice. Some extension may be included in the lesson depending on the number of students, overall student comprehension, etc.
I passed the Spanish Praxis exam required to teach Spanish in my state and taught middle school Spanish for 2 years. I have also formally worked as a Spanish interpreter with a school district for parent-teacher conferences. While I am Hispanic, I am not a native Spanish speaker.
Learners should finish their coloring page and can upload a picture of it to the discussion board if they'd like to share with other learners!

They will also get audio clips and Boom cards after class to be able to continue practicing at home along with their class coloring worksheet.
2 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
