 Week 1
Lesson 1
Introductions, Greetings
Together we will: - review class expectations - greet each other in Spanish - learn to ask how are you and respond with 3 emotions - learn other ways to greet beyond hola
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Alphabet, Letter Sounds
Together we will: - ask and tell our name - ask and tell other's names - identify the letters in Spanish and their sounds -spell our names and basic words
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Numbers Part 1, Colors Part 1
Together we will: - review what we have learned in class 1 and 2 - count to 10 and spell correctly the numbers - ask and give phone numbers - identify the colors - communicate if the color is light or dark
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Numbers Part 2, Colors Part 2
Together we will: - count 11-20 and spell them correctly - identify the colors and use them to answer key questions about what colors we like and don't like as well as what colors we wear and like to paint with -build our speaking confidence
 Week 5
Lesson 5
Classroom Objects Part 1
Together will will: - identify common classroom objects - discuss what we have and don't have - discuss the quantity we have of an object - use games and activities to increase our confidence in the language
 Week 6
Lesson 6
Classroom Objects Part 2
Together we will: - identify more classroom objects - communicate what we do with those objects (actions) - strengthen our speaking skills
 Week 7
Lesson 7
Days of the Week, Numbers 21-30
Together we will: - count to 30 and spell them correctly - identify the days of the week - ask and answer what day it is -communicate what day was yesterday and what day is tomorrow
 Week 8
Lesson 8
Months & Seasons
Together we will: - know the months in Spanish - ask and tell when our birthday and other's birthdays are - state what the date is and ask for the date - identify the seasons and communicate which seasons we like and don't like
This class is taught in Spanish.
  • Students will be able to greet and say goodbye to others in various ways.
  • Students will be able to ask others basic questions like how are you, what's your name, when is your birthday, what's your favorite color, do you have, do you prefer, etc.
  • Students will be able to count to 30, identify the colors, months, days of the week, school objects, and other high frequency vocabulary.
  • Students will understand and pronounce correctly the letters and vowel sounds.
  • Students will be able to express their emotions and state their name and birthday confidently in Spanish.

Frequency: 3-6 throughout the class

Details: Students will be provided an optional workbook for homework. Homework is optional and feedback will be provided if it is submitted.
Assessment
Frequency: included
Details: Students will receive positive verbal reinforcement throughout the class and I will communicate with parents throughout the course on their child's progress.
We welcome students with unique learning needs and will do our best to accommodate you.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
