1 hour per week. Homework consist of practicing and learning vocabulary outside of the classroom. I will send a Quizlet link and other links to help assist parent in learner in this process. I am also available if you need more help. Parents can order a workbook to assist in our learning process, but please note I do not follow this workbook exclusively as each child learns differently. I am here to help your learner fall in love with Spanish.Assessment

Beginner Level
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A VERY BEGINNERS BASIC SPANISH CLASS. IF YOUR CHILD IS IN A SPANISH-SPEAKING ENVIRONMENT OR HAS TAKEN SPANISH THIS IS NOT THE CLASS FOR THEM, THEY WILL BE BORED. In this class, your student will learn the Spanish alphabet, basic greetings, and songs. We will learn conversational Spanish through repetition, conversation, and music. My style of teaching is relaxed and fun. I believe if you enjoy the language, it will be easier to retain. Students will greet each other and learn to converse with each other during class. I will be using a PowerPoint presentation with music, and more. There is no required experience to take this class. Learners will be in a relaxed learning environment with 100% interaction and Spanish conversation. I am no longer fluent in Spanish due to medication that slows down my thinking process. I only teach vocabulary and simple sentences. Each week we will practice new vocabulary. We will review as needed. It will be up to the parent and learner to practice outside of class to get the most from the class. If you don't practice using the Quizlet or workbook you will not get the full benefit of this course. We will quickly learn to turn vocabulary into simple sentences and questions. At the end of the 12 weeks, your learner will have learned a vast amount of vocabulary, many sentences that can be used in conversation skills, and some verbs and grammar rules and how to use them. Final review using all vocabulary for conversation. 2nd Semester Classes are available after the completion of this course.
Learning Goals
The learning goal for this class is to introduce more than 250 plus Spanish vocabulary words. To introduce basic conversations by using those words in small sentences. To have a stress free classroom that allows critical thinking and developmental skills.

This is a beginner class, so there are no pre-reg required.

Skill for Success Spanish Elementary or High School depending on the age of the learner. This is not a requirement but will enhance what is being taught in this class.

I have been teaching Spanish for over 20 years. I have taught adults up to age 90 and children as young as 5. I have also taught our local police officers the basics of the Spanish language. I have taught from textbooks, videos, and popular language software. I will be teaching this class from a power point video. Due to health issues I am no longer completely fluent in Spanish.
