Students will learn vocabulary and sentence structure related to basic concepts in the target language, while building confidence in their speaking abilities.
I hold my bachelor's degree in Spanish and have taken numerous education courses. I have had the opportunity to experience the cultures of various Spanish speaking countries. While studying abroad in Costa Rica, I taught English to school aged children. Before staying home to raise my own children, I ran an after school program for elementary students, as well as taught high school Spanish I, II, and III. I pride myself on making content interactive and engaging, so that students retain the material and desire to learn more!
No homework will be assigned. However, as time allows, some hands on activities may need to be finished up after class.
Hands on activities and/or vocabulary lists will be available to print prior to classes. I will post all resources needed for the week in the classroom at the beginning of the week. You will need a pencil, something to color with (crayons, markers, etc), scissors, a glue stick, and something to use as bingo markers.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
