Description
Class Experience
Language Output: We will start with greetings and practice how to say “My name is ____.” in Spanish. During the lesson, students will learn a short song in Spanish that includes: - "polar bear" - "the penguin" - "owl" - "it’s very cold" Additional Input: In addition to the above song, students may hear some simple phrases in Spanish (translated at times for clarity) that they will not be expected to say. Depending on student comprehension and pacing, I leave room in my class for some possible extension beyond just the stated objectives and reviewing numbers or other Spanish words that learners may already know. Any additional content varies from class to class!
I passed the Spanish Praxis exam required to teach Spanish in my state and taught middle school Spanish for 2 years. I have also formally worked as a Spanish interpreter to interpret parent-teacher conferences. While I am Hispanic, I am not a native Spanish speaker.
Learners will receive an audio file of the lesson song along with their class worksheet to continue practicing at home!
1 file available upon enrollment- 1 printable worksheet to be posted in the classroom discussion board ** If a printer is not available, please make sure your learner has a pen/pencil and paper to draw. **
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
