Class Experience

I absolutely LOVE teaching young learners how to read! It's so exciting when learners catch on to blending sounds together to read words.

If your child knows how to blend 2 sound words together, then your child is ready to learn how to read 3 sound words! Learning how to blend the sounds together is the most effective way to learn how to read.

In this class, I will demonstrate how to blend sounds together orally before blending them with printed letters. Then, I will model and show the learners how to blend the sounds with printed letters. The words I will be teaching in this class are: can, and, his, him, its, but, did, not, has, had.

After watching the video, your learner can practice reading the beginner sight words with the following activities that are included in this class.

1. Underwater flashcards.

 2. Print the attached paper flashcards with the sight words on them and practice reading them.

3. Print the attached mini book and practice reading the sight words in some fun and silly little stories.

***If your child enjoys this class and would like to continue learning more sight words, please consider taking the next sight words class. ( Level 4 coming soon!)
