I absolutely LOVE teaching young learners how to read! It's so exciting when learners catch on to blending sounds together to read words. If your child knows most or all of their letter sounds, then they are ready to learn how to blend 2 and 3 sounds together to read words. Learning how to blend the sounds together is the most effective way to learn how to read. In this class, I will demonstrate how to blend sounds together orally before blending them with printed letters. Then, I will model and show the learners how to blend the sounds with printed letters. The words I will be teaching in this class are: I, am, at, an, as, in, it, if, up, a, on, is, go, no, so, be, she, he, see, we, and, his, him, did, not, get, but, can, its, has, had, this, than, with, that, them, then, will, when, which, long After the lessons, I have included fun activities and games for each lesson to help your learner practice and master the sight words. I have also included flashcards to print out AND mini books and stories to practice the new sight words. After your child masters these words, they can continue learning the rest of the first 100 sight words by taking my next level sight words class! (coming soon)
