Beginner Sewing Skirts FLEX
In this 4- week flex course, students will learn to sew four different skirt styles. Students will sew a simple skirt, a layered skirt, a reversible skirt, and a wrap skirt through pre-recorded videos and teacher interaction and feedback.

Description
Class Experience
In this 4-week flex course, students will learn how to sew a simple skirt, a layered skirt, a reversible skirt, and a wrap skirt through pre-recorded videos, receiving feedback on their progress and other interactive methods on Outschool deemed necessary to ensure student success. Students will learn to properly take measurements and cut fabric pieces based on those measurements. We will learn about seam allowance, multiple ways to finish raw fabric edges, creating a casing to enclose elastic...
Students will sew multiple fabric layers together. Students will create elastic casing. Students will thread elastic through casing. Students will take measurements. Students will cut fabric based on measurements taken.

Working sewing machine Thread for your machine and color of your choice Basic sewing supplies: needles, pins, fabric scissors, seam ripper, ruler/measuring tape (sewing kits can be purchased from any sewing store) 6.5 yards of cotton woven fabric 3 yards of 1" wide elastic
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
