Class experience
This course is designed for students who have a basic understanding of how to use Scratch. They should know enough to be able to create simple projects on their own, but may need help on more complicated parts of their game/project. For beginners who still need to learn the basics for how to use Scratch-please try out my one-time Beginner's Scratch Course! Students should already have a (free) Scratch account made Computer or laptop with access to the Scratch site (Chromebooks and tablets are not compatible with Scratch 3.0)

Scratch is an online community where students have the opportunity to share their finished work. Digital citizenship/safety will be discussed in each session. I always advise the students to get permission from parents before sharing any projects. Scratch users are able to comment on other projects and interact with other users this way. Although the guidelines and policies are very good with Scratch, it is still important to be involved with your child's online life.
