This is the beginner level of "Review Parts of Speech with Fill In The Blank Silly Stories." Class will begin with a review of nouns, adjectives and verbs. Students will also create a list of nouns, adjectives and verbs. Following the review I will request either a noun, adjective or verb from each student. Here comes the silly part! I will reveal a fill-in-the-blank story that was created with the words that the learners provided! We will read the story and share laughs at how silly it is, all while reinforcing the parts of speech! Next, I will give the learners a topic (or they can pick an appropriate topic) and ask them to write a 3-5 sentence story about it. After the story is written learners will be asked to remove at least 1 noun, verb and adjective. Other learners will provide words to fill-in-the-blank and stories will be shared. If time allows we will complete this activity more than once!

Supply List
Ideally, students will be typing their fill-in-the-blank sentences on the computer. This way, they can share their screen during the Zoom meeting to show their paragraph as we read it! If this will not work, students can handwrite their work, and thus will need a paper and pencil/pen.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
