In this course, student will begin to learn basics to playing piano, such as reading music, counting, and playing.
Class experience
The students will learn through visual and auditory explanations. No experience with music is necessary to be in the course, it is made for students who are completely new to playing music and piano. The class is designed to be one on one so that the student can interact with the teacher clearly and is at the student's own pace. Students will learn how to play piano, including reading music, counting rhythms, and developing listening skills.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance with a specialization in Piano Pedagogy. I have extensive experience teaching both group and private piano lessons to individuals of all ages. I strongly believe that music is an essential part of everyone's life, and it's never too early or too late to learn how to play.
Homework Offered
To improve their piano skills, the student is advised to practice for at least 30 minutes per week outside of class. It's recommended to break down the practice sessions into smaller, focused segments throughout the week in order to reinforce concepts and make steady progress. Consistent practicing will help the student improve their piano skills over time.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

For our lessons, students will need access to a keyboard, either acoustic or digital, as well as their own copy of recommended piano method books which will be provided after the first class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
If your learner is young, they may require supervision to ensure proper hand placement and instruction comprehension.
