Homework
1 hour per week. To improve their piano skills, the student is advised to practice for at least 30 minutes per week outside of class. It's recommended to break down the practice sessions into smaller, focused segments throughout the week in order to reinforce concepts and make steady progress. Consistent practicing will help the student improve their piano skills over time.Class Experience
Beginner Level
The course is tailored for students who don't have any prior experience with music or playing the piano. The teaching approach combines visual and auditory explanations to improve the learning process. The class is conducted one-on-one, which enables clear and interactive communication between the teacher and the student. Piano lessons will follow musical method books and supplementary music. Each lesson is personalized to cater to the learner's needs, and therefore, each session progresses at the learner's pace. The course will cover a range of specific musical topics and terms. Some of the topics that will be covered include: Introduction to music theory Basic principles of rhythm and meter Understanding musical notation Introduction to piano technique Learning to read sheet music/ lead sheet music Exploring different musical genres Introduction to music history Developing listening skills Introduction to musical expression and interpretation These topics will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of music and piano, allowing them to develop a strong foundation in their musical journey. In case of absence, the student must inform the teacher at least 24 hours before the scheduled class. If this is done, arrangements for makeup classes or refunds can be made. However, makeup classes are subject to the teacher's availability, so it's essential to notify in advance. Please note that classes are available on request and are meant to be continuous to ensure a smooth learning experience.
