Students will learn how to play a piano at the beginner level!
Class experience
Students will learn an introduction to piano playing, the layout of the keyboard, how to position hands and learn finger exercises, correct posture when playing piano, play chords (major and minor), and learn about reading music. Students will learn short passages from workbooks (I will provide these resources). As the student progresses throughout taking lessons, they will work their way up through the workbooks, and learn as many songs as possible. Lessons will be very interactive, and...
Students need a piano or keyboard to take lessons. During the lesson, please have the students hands visible, as that is very important when first learning piano!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Attachments of songs in workbooks will be posted before each lesson.
