This is a JAM-PACKED 4 day camp! A great jump-start to any piano education. This class is designed for students with very limited piano experience. 

Day One: C? C? I can't see you C!
 We will learn the "map" of the piano starting with middle C. We'll figure out what the black and white keys do, what makes a higher and lower sound on the keyboard, proper hand shape, and an introduction to finger numbers. We will begin our song "Ode To Joy". 

Day 2: Thumbs Up! You're doing it!
We will learn the finger names and follow specific finger patterns to encourage the development of fine motor skills and advancement in playing piano confidently. We will finish learning the right hand of "Ode To Joy" and begin to learn the left hand chords. 

Day 3: Let's clap it out!
Introduction to Quarter Notes, Half Notes, and Whole Notes. We will begin the very early stage of music reading, rhythmic notation, and even check out the inside of a real grand piano! 

Day 4: Ode To Joy!
On day Four we will complete learning Beethoven's "Ode To Joy" by utilizing all of the skills we have learned so far. We will play with both our left and right hand and learn about "dancing partners", how to practice and what comes next in their piano journey! 


This is the right class for your learner if:
 - They haven't had any formal piano education
 - They've been learning from youtube, but are in need of formal music education
 - They are able to play by "ear" but do not know how to read music
- You have NOT taken any of my Flex piano classes (the curriculum is very similar!)
 - They want to play piano and have some fun! 


This is NOT the right class for you if:
 - You have had more than 1 year of formal piano training
 - You already know how to play many songs in different keys 
 - You can easily read music in the bass and treble clef
 - You are one of my wonderful FLEX piano students - you already have this class mastered! 
 - You don't want to play piano or have any fun :)
