Description
Class Experience
We will dive into the Manual mode on a DSLR or Mirrorless camera. The 3 things we will focus on for this class will be ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed. We will start go into depth about what each number means and different scenarios of when to change each number. No previous experience or knowledge needed to enroll in this course! Students will need to be able to take pictures with their camera and upload them to our classroom during the first few days of class. We will be presenting our...
Students will be able to: Have a basic understanding of all the manual functions on their DSLR camera. Demonstrate openness in trying new ideas, materials, methods, and approaches in making works of art and design. Develop criteria to guide making a work of art or design to meet an identified goal.
I have been a professional photographer for the past 3 and a half years but I have been taking pictures for the last 7. Being a self taught photographer has given me an insight into things that need to be learned first to build a strong foundation of understanding.
A Final Project will be due on the last day of class. Information on the project will be given on Day Two and Three. The Project will be presented for their classmates to see on the last day.
A cheat sheet will be provided before class begins. If student has access to a DSLR or Mirrorless camera please bring it to class. Not necessary but would be helpful for hands on learning and experience and for final project participation.
3 hours per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
