Beginner Mindfulness Class: Stress Management With Glitter Jars
What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
During this one-time class, beginning learners to mindfulness will be introduced to what mindfulness is, how they can benefit from it, and when to use it. They will see how mindfulness can be effective for managing stress by creating a glitter jar. This will help them learn that practicing mindfulness can be fun! Since this is for beginning learners to mindfulness, we will start the class by discussing mindfulness (what it is, why it's beneficial, when to use it) to be sure they have an understanding of mindfulness. We will then talk about ways to be mindful in our every day life, allowing learners an opportunity to share their ideas and suggestions. Since this is a beginner class, no prior knowledge of mindfulness is required. In order for students to have a method for practicing mindfulness for stress management, we will then create a glitter jar together. We will discuss how, when, and why using glitter jars is an effective calming strategy and students will have the opportunity to practice using their glitter jar after they make them. Once class is finished, I will post a handout with directions for making the glitter jar for future reference if they want to make more. I hope you'll enjoy this class and can't wait to share an effective mindfulness strategy to help you manage stressful situations!
