This class will cover many different kicks, blocks, and stances taught in a traditional Taekwondo class. We always start class with meditation and stretching to get both our mind and body ready to train. We will go over the practical application of kicks, blocks, and stances as well as proper body positioning. We will also discuss ways to gain more power and accuracy in techniques. This class is a very active class and will get us all moving and exercising. Prior experience is not required....
Each day we will choose at least one basic kick or one combination kick. We will also cover blocks and stances Some things are learned faster than others and may permit time for additional techniques or drills . In these instances we may learn more than one of each.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
As we are learning to kick, please ensure that each learner has enough space to be able to performs the techniques safely. This includes making sure there are no items or individuals close to the learner. Students need to wear comfy exercise clothing or a martial arts uniform to ensure the best ability to move and train.
