In this class, students will draw a simple anime face and then they will learn how to say their character's name, how big their eyes are, how long their hair is and whether the hairstyle is cute or cool. All of the sentences will use the A wa B desu sentence pattern, which is foundational for beginner Japanese. The session will be 30% drawing and 70% language focussed. We will also cover the following English words in Japanese: Vocabulary: hello, head, face, nose, mouth, until next time,...
Students will develop a strong grasp of the foundational grammar structure: A wa B desu. Students will use this sentence structure to talk about an anime character that they have created.
