We will cover tricks with some fun challenges too. No experience necessary but do bring a non weighted hula hoop. No Hula Hoop experience needed and all moves can be modified to ability. Lots of tips are given to nail that trick! With all of the tricks we learn I will show you the trick and then we break down into small steps. We cover on body and off body skills from waist hooping to arm and hand spins, tossing, balancing and so much more. We will work on string tricks together to create a hula hoop flow! Practice makes perfect so I leave you with the skills to build on each week no homework but fun and play is encouraged! Week 1- 10 basic tricks and challenges Week 2- Review and build on basics with extra skills start to build routine Week 3- Expand and introduce new tricks work on routine Week 4- Review and build on tricks and Practice routine
Learning Goals
We will cover tricks on and off our body and build on the trick levels as we move through these four classes. We cover tricks like the hand spin, balancing and the whirlpool just to mention a few. We are looking to expand dexterity and coordination in a fun creative and supportive environment.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
A none weighted Hula Hoop is required. Ideal fit is to your belly button but not essential. It is important to follow instructions to maintain safety. An open workout space of 8 ft, proper footwear and water bottle are needed.
Supply List
Non weighted Hula Hoop is needed. It is nice to have a smaller one and one slightly bigger for waist hooping but not necessary. A waist hoop can be as big as up to your belly button.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
