3) How is your class structured? Each class will involve 5-10min of warm up. 20 min working on technique and 20/25min working on the routine that is chosen for the class to perform in the recital. Please note, many steps learned in Hip hop are jazz or ballet steps considering ballet is the foundation of all styles. Therefore, our hip hop combinations will have a touch of pas de chat turns and pas de bora's to make them more lively and special.

4) How will you teach? I will be teaching through a live Zoom class. I encourage all students all students to have their video camera and microphone on, but it is not required after attendance.

5) What's your teaching style? I believe all types of dance, can be fun if taught properly. We will be doing a balancing game and Simon says. In every step we do I will focus on breaking down each part. for example a Shuffle in Tap involves a Brush and a Spank. I also named my left and right sides to avoid confusion verses being mirrored/not mirrored through the camera. I also encourage my students to speak up in my class in they are confused with anything, or they feel that they are ready to be challenged even more. For example, if balancing in Passé is easy then we can add on by making it a Pirouette turn.

6) How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)? We will be interacting throughout class by the use of the combination as a group as well as playing many games that will help us learn the faces and corners of a dancers area, terminology of dance terms, and finally just to have fun like in freeze dance. In addition, I will interact with each student individual by giving them comments of praise and small corrections to help us grow as a dancer or a class.

Please be aware that your child can end up injuring themselves.
