This is a beginner guitar course for students who haven't played guitar before. I'll be teaching some very basic knowledge to help your student get started! Required knowledge: None! Students will learn: ⭐️Names of guitar strings ⭐️Guitar basics: parts of the guitar ⭐️How to read a chord diagram ⭐️G, C, D, Em, and Am chords ⭐️Methods for practicing chords at home/ building muscle memory Take home materials (posted after class) ⭐️Chord diagrams PDF ⭐️Guitar string names PDF ⭐️Parts of the guitar PDF Before class ⭐️Please come to class with your guitar tuned! It would take a significant amount of class time if I were to help each student learn to tune their guitar. Fortunately, it's super easy thanks to technology! I recommend getting a Snark tuner, but if you don't have time to grab one before class, you can use the GuitarTuna app in the meantime. Check the materials section for a link to a guitar tuning tutorial! ⭐️ My teaching style is pretty laid back, and I will take time for students to ask questions to make sure no one gets lost or confused. I hold a B.S. in Worship Arts ,with guitar as my main instrument, and a minor in Music Industry Studies. I performed with 20+ different bands while in college and have experience playing many different styles including rock, pop, metal, blues, fusion, progressive rock, and jazz. I've written and recorded music with three different bands, the most recent being my solo project under which I recently released my first original music EP, 'Letters From Earth.'
