Group Drum Lessons: Learn, Play, and Grow Together! Experience the thrill of drumming in a supportive group environment! Our expert instructor, with over 4,000 hours of online teaching experience, provides top-notch instruction tailored to your skill level and learning style. Each 30-minute weekly lesson includes all necessary materials and access to a practice video, allowing you to keep advancing outside of class. What Makes This Class Special? • Tailored Learning: Lessons adapt to the needs of the class, ensuring everyone progresses at their own pace. • Engaging Instruction: Our experienced teacher specializes in working with young learners, meeting each student where they are and helping them reach their full potential. • Supportive Environment: A collaborative approach fosters a love for learning and empowers students to thrive. Weekly Practice Routine and Topics: - *Students can jump in at anytime* • Week 1 (Jan): How to Hold the Drumsticks + Drum Beat #1 • Week 2 (Jan): Setting Up the Drum Set + Drum Beat #2 • Week 3 (Jan): Basic Drum Fills • Week 4 (Jan): Combining Drum Beats and Drum Fills Class Format: • Duration: 30 minutes per lesson, once a week. • Materials Provided: All necessary learning tools and a video practice lesson for continued growth between sessions. The Student Experience is top-notch, with high-quality video and sounds and six camera angles that directly bring the teaching studio feel to the students.
Learning Goals
Our drum lessons are designed for beginners who want to work towards achievable goals through practice and time management. Students will learn the basic drumming foundation, including proper hand technique, basic drum rudiments, and reading drum notation

Learning Needs
The teacher has extensive experience teaching ASD and ADHD students.
Communication through rhythmic conversation.
Pre-Requisites
No experience is required. Students will need a basic electric or acoustic drum set and drumsticks.
Supply List
The teacher will provide all lesson material.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Empowering Kids Through Music: My “Why”
Hi, I’m Rob Egan—a passionate musician and educator with a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music. Over the past 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of performing across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, including with legendary artists like Henry Mancini and Bob Mintzer, as well as the U.S. Army Ground Forces Band.
But my true calling has always been teaching.
With over 5,000 hours of online instruction, I’ve mastered the art of creating seamless, engaging learning experiences tailored to each student. My virtual setup includes three drum kits, six camera angles, and studio-quality audio, allowing students to feel supported and inspired—no matter where they are.
I’ve seen firsthand how music transforms lives. It’s not just about learning rhythms or playing beats—it’s about building confidence, sparking creativity, and igniting a lifelong love for learning. My lessons aren’t one-size-fits-all. Each session is uniquely crafted to support the needs of every child, whether they’re neurodiverse, autistic, homeschooled, or simply eager to explore music.
As a U.S. Army Band veteran, I bring structure, discipline, and a warm, encouraging approach to everything I do. I believe every child deserves to feel the joy and pride that comes from discovering their potential. Helping them achieve that—one beat at a time—is why I do what I do.
