A one day course where learners will be introduced to the geography of our world, and basic mapping skills. #academic
Class experience
Learners will discuss different types of maps and how to use them. We will Learn core vocabulary, understanding maps and directions, capital cities, learn the continents and oceans, and sing a song about continents to help with memorization. We will work on an activity and find your way around the map. A print out will be provided before the class. Finally, we will end with a fun game to review some of the things learned in the lesson! Learners will be introduced to the continents of our world. Students will improve their understanding of the cardinal directions; North, South, East, and West. They will find their way around a map following the teachers instructions. A fun quiz will be played during class.
I am a professional teacher with a Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Special Education. I have been teaching English, writing and grammar; as well as English Second Language for ESL students around the world for the past decade.
